Conflict in Gaza
Additional explanation: In the issue between Israel and Hamas, what I’ve been thinking is how to quickly find a solution, not about who to support. Both sides suffered severe damage, but resorting to violence cannot cease violence. The point is how to get Israel and Palestine to coexist in peace in this region.
Israel’s actions have a significant impact. Gaza is such a small area with over two million people, making it impossible for them to evacuate in a short time. The bombings in the past few days have also affected personnel from UN humanitarian aid. If Israeli army enters Gaza for urban warfare, resulting in a large number of civilian casualties, it will create wounds and hatred that difficult to heal. This will lead to more so-called terrorist attacks and terrorist organizations. There are a lot of Muslim refugees in Europe, and even non-Muslim areas might become targets as well. Also, there could be wars between nations. This is a negative cycle of cause-and-effect. Do not set it in motion.
Words and actions of political figures have a profound impact on a large number of people. Have a far-reaching vision. Do not solely focus on immediate gratification through revenge. Leaving a way out for others naturally prevents eruption of conflicts.
Furthermore, I’ve noticed many activities, such as protests and expressions of support. This is a matter that has been tangled in grievances for a long time, and cannot be resolved just by showing support. For example, what do people supporting Israel really advocate for? Getting rid of Palestinians in Gaza or getting rid of Hamas? How to get rid of Hamas when they are intermingled with civilians? Bombing and urban warfare are bound to cause significant harm to innocent people, given the extremely high population density here.
I propose an idea: Relocate Palestinians in Gaza to the west bank of Jordan river, and have a relatively complete piece of land for them to establish a state? The land of Palestine is currently very fragmented. Allowing Palestinians to have access through Jordan, so that Israel doesn’t have to build such high and long walls. You may have further discuss about that.
Please, capable nations and UN step in for mediation. Thank you.
